Responsible for managing patient care. Assures nursing services are integrated and coordinated within the hospital system by effective communication at all levels. Shares responsibility for development and maintenance of working relationships among disciplines. Assesses patients and defines plan of care on admission and reassesses as patients needs and condition changes. Adheres to programs in the organization and works to provide a safe environment for all customers. Ensures nursing services comply with standards of care. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and ensures ethical business practices. Provides orientation and education to new employees as needed |
